"During this mission trip, we were granted the opportunity to partner up with an incredible ministry called Timothy Trumpet of Truth. There, they truly are the hands and feet of Jesus. They provide for the homeless physically and spiritually. While on one particular excursion, I met an unbelievably inspiring man named Ronald. As he shared his story, my heart was touched. He explained that he was in the position he was in due to an accident many years ago which disabled him, causing him to lack the ability to work. However, he didn't stop there. He shared his testimony of what Christ had done for him even while living on the streets of New Orleans. He began to declare blessings of favor over my life and started encouraging me. This moment really struck a chord because I came to minister to him, but instead, he ministered to me." - Rebekah Bourgeois

"Visiting Trumpet of Truth ministry was truly a life changing experience for our group and myself. My family visits New Orleans often and we even feed homeless people. However, sitting and listening to the vision of Pastor Collins and Sister Florence and then becoming the hands and feet of Christ brought it to another level. Going under the bridge and into the "tent cities" allowed us to break down any wall that we had. I was able to hear their stories, pray with them, feed them, love on them, and give them much-needed value. We were able to see that so many of the homeless are literally just like us! There was one young girl that especially stood out to me. She was beautiful and had such a bubbly personality. If you passed her on the street, you would've never guessed that she slept on pallets under the bridge. We were then able to bless her with a new mattress. She was so unbelievably thankful. This experience impacted a passion for the homeless that will not die when I return to my city!" - Pat Carlos
