Avondale Children

“I had the privilege of speaking to the neighborhood kids of Avondale. They impacted my life greatly. While playing with them, I could see that they were bursting with joy. Seeing them so happy really touched me because I know that their backgrounds are not the greatest. God showed me that through any circumstance joy, hope, and happiness can be found.” -Carson Hebert

“One day on our trip, we went serve at Happy Johnson’s All Souls Center. My team and I had prepared a skit and program for the children. As we began to perform, we quickly realized that we looked absolutely ridiculous to everyone in the room apart from the children. The adult volunteers looked at us with complete amusement. However, as the time at the center passed, we were able to minister and even pray with them. We went to Happy Johnson’s to preach to the children, but instead, we had the chance to present Jesus to the grown men and women in that room. It was an awesome experience.” -Julien Larisey
