This adult team (18-23) from Whitewater, Wisconsin served both the River Ridge Community and the church day camp.  The twelve participants were divided into 2 groups.  The Children’s Camp team bonded with the children, played dodgeball, soccer, and did arts and crafts. They also organized and cleaned some rooms at the church.  The Community Team painted a room, did yard work for several residents, a prayer walk, and helped moved furniture.  They also made sandwiches and passed out water to the homeless.  Both groups did random acts of kindness in the community – all packed within 3 days of service.

The team was pushed out of their comfort zone to pray aloud, listen to hear God’s voice, and plan worship each night.  While it may have been uncomfortable, they participated  and impacted the Riverside Baptist Church and community in an amazing way.  Yes, some saw the results of their work and service immediately while others made a difference in the life of child that will last a lifetime.

This team was blessed by the kindness of the Riverside Church members with special dinners, feasts and pool access, and the kindness of strangers.  As the team gave to others, the blessings and favor kept pouring in.  I hope they felt the LOVE.

  1. New Orleans is a little bit better than it was a week ago. Thank you for joining in what Jesus is doing out there!
