Katrina isn't at the forefront of everyone's mind like it used to be. You might hear the lone reference to Katrina here or there but for the most part it can be chalked up to "out of sight, out of mind". That is of course, unless you live in New Orleans or on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In those places, the events of nearly three years ago are still very much at the forefront of everyone's mind.
